Area Golf: Erdman, Atkinson pace Little Falls in first two meets

Little Falls finally got a chance to open play at Monday’s pre-section meet in Sartell, placing fifth out of 16 teams.

Junior Kyler Erdman was the top placer for the Flyers, finishing in a tie for 12th with a round of 88.

Juniors Landon Atkinson and Josh DeCann were right behind with rounds of 91 and 93, respectively, trailed by seniors Nathan Hoffman (104) and Kyle Hemple (116).

Pierz sent three individuals to the event, led by junior Josh Rocheleau with a 107 and followed by junior Ethan Lochner (109) and freshman Nathan Poster (114).

 

LF second in GRC opener

Erdman and Atkinson shot matching rounds of 40 to tie for fourth individually and lead Little Falls to second place at Tuesday’s Milaca Granite Ridge Conference (GRC) opening meet.

Hoffman turned in a round of 45 and junior Michael Orr had a 46 to also count toward the team score, with DeCann (49) and Hemple (52) rounding out the lineup.

St. Cloud Cathedral won the meet with a score of 160, followed by the Flyers (171), Becker (176), Zimmerman (178) and Mora (183).
