The Little Falls Area Chamber of Commerce has chosen Dale Branchaud, assistant superintendent at the Little Falls Country Club, as its May Employee of the Month.
Branchaud started at the golf course 35 years ago as a part-timer, when he was 15. Since 1986 he has been full-time.
“Dale has been with the Little Falls Country Club for over 30 years. He is very loyal to the city of Little Falls and the golf course. It is truly an honor to have Dale as a part of our team,” said his supervisor Randy Pankonen.
“It is an honor to be named the Chamber of Commerce May Employee of the Month. It is something I never really thought of receiving,” Branchaud said.
His duties include supervising four to six workers, maintenance of the course, all outside maintenance of equipment including the sprinkler system.
“Being outside working is my favorite part of the job,” said Branchaud. “I work inside fixing the machinery in the winter. I like the summer work the best. I like to intermingle with the members. It is nice to hear them compliment how nice the course looks.”
The worst part of his job is cleaning up after a storm. He said, “It is a hurry-up job so we can open up the course again.”
When he has free time, Branchaud enjoys golfing, bowling, snowmobiling and watching the Twins and Vikings.
In honor of being chosen as Employee of the Month Branchaud will receive gift certificates from Broadway Stylist, Subway, The Royal Cafe, West Side Bar and Northern Image Landscaping. He will also have his picture taken by Silkers Studio and receive a cookbook from St. Gabriel’s Hospital Hospice Program.
