Lawrence Larry Yasgar

Lawrence Larry Yasgar, 71-year-old resident of Huron, S.D., formerly of Sobieski, died April 30, 2014 at the St. Cloud Hospital.
A Memorial Mass will be held Saturday, May 3, at 2:30 p.m. with visitation one hour prior to the service at St. Stanislaus Catholic Church in Sobieski. Father Tim Wetzel will be officiating. The burial will take place at the St. Stanislaus Parish Cemetery.
Larry Yasgar was born Aug. 18, 1942, in Little Falls, to Frederick and Catherine (Rossa) Yasgar. Larry attended public school and graduated from Little Falls High Community School in 1960. After, high school he went to work for Armor Meat Packing in Huron, S.D. In his spare time, Larry enjoyed playing cards, Pitch being one of his favorite games. He also enjoyed watching Wheel of Fortune and working on his cars, especially his Classic Trans Am.
Larry is survived by son, Dean Yasgar and friend, Jodi DeVries of Sioux Falls, S.D.; brothers Yub Yasgar of Sartell, Roger Yasgar of Champlain, and Bernard (Sasha) Yasgar of Moorhead; sisters, Jane Spiess of Ellsworth, Wis., Tina (Gerard) Frank of Randall and Marie (Al) Frank of Sobieski; and grandchildren Kyle and Ricki Yasgar.
Larry was preceded in death by parents Frederick and Catherine Yasgar; brother, David Yasgar and a brother-in-law, Aloysius Al Frank.
