Genevieve was born June 26, 1923, on a farm near Elmdale to Steven and Mary (Habas) Nouis. After graduating from Upsala High School, she later married Leonard Kloss, June 4, 1945, at St. Edwards Catholic Church in Elmdale. The couple moved to Buckman and later Royalton where Gen worked as a farmer, mother and home-maker raising their seven children. Gen will be remembered as being a terrific baker. Especially remembered will be her wonderful coffee cakes and stuffing. Gen also had a great love for the land which she showed through her beautiful gardens and many trees she planted over the years. For pleasure, Gen always enjoyed a quick trip to the casino. What gave her the most enjoyment in life was watching her family grow up. She especially loved the time she got to spend with her many grandchildren. She was a member of the Royalton Ladies Auxiliary, the Christian Mothers, and Holy Trinity Catholic Church of Royalton. Genevieve is survived by her seven children, Karen (Delroy) Winscher of Buckman, Ronnie (Audre) Kloss of Royalton, David (Diane) Kloss of Royalton, Denise (Jim) Guck of Rice, Mary (Carly) Winscher of Royalton, Paulette (Rick Beightol) Kloss of St. Francis and Sandi (Jeff) Hansen of Cold Spring; her 22 grandchildren and 24.5 great-grandchildren; and her siblings Rita Kloss of Royalton, Robert (Sally) Nouis of Texas and Arnold Nouis, Ariz.
