Josh Rocheleau’s season of consistency continued with another series of high finishes in Central Minnesota Conference (CMC) action this week.

Rocheleau led Pierz to seventh at three recent conference meets, putting together a round of 48 at Maple Lake, Tuesday, a round of 45 at Osakis, May 16 and a round of 44 at Pierz’ home meet, May 15.

At Maple Lake, Poster was the Pioneers’ No. 2 scorer with a 55, followed by seventh-grader Isaac Stangl (66), Sopkowiak (69) and freshman Levi Taylor (71).

At Osakis, Poster and Stangl each shot 56, followed by Bednar (64), Sopkowiak (66) and Taylor (68).

Poster (53) and Stangl (56) followed closely behind Rocheleau at Pierz, Bednar and Sopkowiak each had rounds of 71 and Taylor had a 76.

 

Flyers’ Erdman at his best

Junior Kyler Erdman tied a career best with a 76 as Little Falls placed 10th at the Becker Bulldog Invite, May 16.

“Hopefully he’s pulling his game together just in time for the end of the season run,” Little Falls head coach Joel Youngberg said.

Junior Michael Orr followed with an 86, junior Josh DeCann had an 89 and sophomore Austin Visker carded a 97.

Erdman then played to a fourth-place score of 77 at Mora’s 18-hole Granite Ridge Conference meet as the Flyers took fifth as a team, Tuesday.

He was followed by senior Nathan Hoffman (87), junior Landon Atkinson (87), Orr (90), DeCann (91) and Visker (99).
