Diane F. Hendrickson

Diane F. Hendrickson 72-year-old resident of Little Falls, passed away Saturday, May 24, 2014, at the St. Cloud Hospital in St. Cloud.
Funeral services were held Wednesday, May 28, at Zion Lutheran Church in Little Falls, with Rev. Gary Hendrickson officiating.
Diane was born Sept. 11, 1941, in Spring Valley, to the late Kenneth and Wilma (Ruud) Rolli. She spent her early years in Spring Valley, later relocating to New Brighton, where she attended and graduated from Mounds View High School. She was united in marriage to David Neal in November of 1959 at Messiah Lutheran Church in Mounds View. Diane later married Gary Hendrickson May 28, 1977, at Messiah Lutheran Church in Mounds View. The couple resided in Mounds View for a couple of years until they built their supposed retirement home in East Bethel in 1979. However in 1983, Gary was moved by the Lord to become a Lutheran pastor. Diane willingly gave up her home in support of this calling. While attending college and completing his seminary work, they resided in St. Paul, St. Louis, Mo., and Payson, Ariz. In 1990 they received a divine call to serve a rural congregation in Enid, Okla., where they lived until their retirement in 2011 which brought them to Little Falls. Diane was a prayer warrior, reading her bible and devotional Portals of Prayer daily. She really enjoyed kneading the dough and baking bread. Diane also gave of her time generously, within the limits of her physical abilities, always willing to volunteer where ever needed. She battled Multiple Sclerosis (MS) for most of her adult life, but it never stopped her from her main and most important job of caring for her husband in his pastoral calling. She prayed a lot for Gary, her family, and many other people. Diane was especially proud to share her birthday Sept. 11th with her youngest daughter, Deanne, and a granddaughter, Emma. She was dearly loved and will be greatly missed.
Diane is loved and survived by husband, Rev. Gary Hendrickson of Little Falls; children, Robin (Jay) Lindenberg of Wyoming, Dean (Alissa) Hendrickson of Andover, Dan (Cheryl) Neal of Blaine, Denise (Dennis) Ritchie of St. Thomas, N.D., Lisa Hendrickson of Little Falls and Deanne (Brian) Johnson of Steele, N.D.; brothers, Gary (Gayle) Rolli of Andover and Mark (Lisa) Rolli of New Prague; sisters, Sharon Grudnoske of Forest Lake, Karen (Pete) Hinson of The Villages, Fla., Pegi Rolli of Blaine, Sandi (Rodney) Anderson of Eagan, and Brenda (Jim Bius) Skolnik of St. Louis Park; 22 grandchildren and 21 great-grandchildren.
