Gross misdemeanor charges filed

Morrison County Attorney Brian Middendorf and his staff have filed gross misdemeanor complaints against the following people:

•Aaron James Athman, 30, Little Falls — In connection with a June 2 incident, Athman has been charged with one count of fourth degree assault and one count of obstructing legal process with force.

•Chad Allen Bruns, 28, Little Falls — In connection with one count of traffic regulation – uninsured vehicle – owner violation; and one count of driving after revocation.

•Shannon Diane Goodman, 25, Park Rapids — In connection with a May 22 incident, Goodman has been charged with two counts of third degree DWI and one count of driving without a valid license.

•Shawn Ronald Baker, 21, Little Falls — In connection with a May 24 incident, Baker has been charged with one count of traffic accidents – driver fails to stop – injury or death.

•Kevin Leslie Hastings, 48, Pierz — In connection with a June 7 incident, Hastings has been charged with two counts of criminal vehicular homicide or operation and two counts of DWI.

•Andrew John Hallman, 30, Maple Grove — In connection with a June 13 incident, Hallman has been charged with two counts of DWI.

•Sandra Dorothy Barthel, 43, Swanville — In connection with a June 18 incident, Barthel has been charged with one count of fourth degree assault and one count of obstructing legal process.

• Zachary Donn Miller, 22, Little Falls — In connection with a June 21 incident, Miller has been charged with fourth degree assault – peace officer – physically assault and one count of obstructing legal process with force.

If found guilty, those charged face a maximum penalty of one year in jail and/or a $3,000 fine.

The court will set their appearance dates.
