Fort Ripley man in serious condition after accident

A Fort Ripley man is in serious condition at the Brainerd Hospital after being hit by a vehicle as he crossed Highway 371 in Morrison County, about 6 p.m. Sunday, June 29.

Lawrence Fisk, 64, was walking across the southbound lanes of Highway 371 north of Highway 210, which has no crosswalk. He was struck by a vehicle that was merging into the right turn lane for westbound Highway 210.

The driver of the vehicle was James A. Rasmussen, 67, of Pequot Lakes. He and his two passengers, Paulette Rasmussen, 61, and Paul Rasmussen, 27, were not injured.
