Notice is hereby given per Minnesota Statutes, Chapter 116, that Golden Oak Dairy, has made application to Minnesota Pollution Control Agency or the County of Morrison for a permit to construct or expand a feedlot with a capacity of 500 animal units or more.
The existing and/ or proposed feedlot will be located in Section 26, Township 40, Range 30, W 1/2 of SW 1/4, Minnesota. The existing facility consists of 145 dairy cows, 45 heifers, 51,000 broiler chickens. A 70 x 210 Hoop Barn, 30 x 128 open face shed, 28 x 72 calf shed, 40 x 152 dry cow facility. 54 x 99 young heifer facility, 56 x 114 heifer facility, a 40 x 466 chicken barn, 24×40 holding pen to house dairy cows, with a 125 x 145 earthen manure storage area. The proposed facility will be the following: 55×132 addition on the dry cow facility and 60×80 dry manure storage area. The total animal unit capacity will be 606 animal units.
This publication shall constitute as notice to each resident and each owner of real property within 5,000 feet of the perimeter of the proposed feedlot as required by Minnesota State Law.
