While 9:30 a.m., Oct. 7, was a normal day for most students, it was a whole different story for Danica Cheney.

The Upsala volleyball captain and senior, signed a letter of intent and a scholarship agreement to attend Waldorf College in Forest City, Iowa.
Cheney, who has been a three-year letterwinner, and all conference selection in her sophomore and junior seasons as a hitter  has the Cardinals out to a 13-4-1 record this season.
As a Waldorf Warrior, Cheney will get a chance to play for Division II NAIA program.
As a student, Cheney plans on majoring in either math education or communications.
She has also lettered in basketball, track, drama, band and choir. She participates in Knowledge Bowl, Big Brothers Big Sisters, NHS, Student Council and yearbook.
Cheney was also named to the Morrison County Record All Area Team in 2013, and was an honorable mention in 2012.
