Amid roving minstrels and the cries “Wassail, Wassail,” the public is invited to begin the Christmas season this year by attending the 10th annual Little Falls Community High School (LFCHS) Madrigal Dinner. The festivities start at 5:30 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 7, at the Falls Ballroom in Little Falls.
Plans are in full swing to recreate all the pomp and charm of Renaissance England. Wenches, beggars and musicians will mingle with the group. A recorder consort, a jovial court jester and a masque entitled “An Unpleasant Peasant” written by Little Falls Alum Jacob Devine will be other entertaining highlights presented by the students.
Announced by the Royal Brass Fanfare, the menu will include winter salad, roast beef, chicken, au gratin potatoes, green beans amandine, browned loaf from the hearth and a yuletide dessert.
Ticket prices are $24 for adults and $20 for seniors and students. Sales are going on now through Dec. 1. No tickets may be ordered after Dec. 1. Ticket order forms can be picked up in the LFCHS activities office. For more information, call (320) 616-2207. All proceeds from the ticket sales will help raise money for the Little Falls Concert Choir Triennial Tour.
