Sam Bruno, Great River Arts (GRA) program support specialist, used her artistic skills and recycled issues of the Morrison County Record, phone books and packing material, to dress this mannequin in style. Her efforts are to highlight the fact that GRA is “going green” and inviting the community to do the same for its “Fashion Trashion” runway event. It will be held during the opening reception for the Great River Arts “Goes Green!” event from 6 p.m. – 8 p.m., Wednesday, April 22, which is also Earth Day. Audiences can view high fashion as students from the University of Minnesota Morris walk the catwalk in outfits constructed from trash. Morrison County students will join the runway fun with creations of their own. Families are encouraged to come out and enjoy this event.
