A doubleheader sweep of Zimmerman and a win over Milaca put the Little Falls Flyers baseball team on a four-game win streak.
The wins were all conference wins as well, which makes the Flyers 4-1 in Granite Ridge Conference (GRC) play this season.
The doubleheader sweep over the Thunder began with a 13-3 win in six innings April 16, in game one.
Thomas Bell hammered a home run, drove in three runs and scored three more for the Flyers in the win. Bryce Zawatzke and Braden Backowski helped at the plate as well with a pair of RBI each.
Thomas Miller pitched all six innings for Little Falls, allowing three runs (two earned).
Game two against the Thunder was not filled with as much offense, but the Flyers would wind up with more than enough.
That is because Little Falls starter, junior Justin Jenks, went the distance, allowing just six hits and one run.
Zawatzke and Daniel Marod were both 3-for-3 from the plate. Zawatzke had two RBIs, and Marod had two runs scored.
The Flyers won their fourth straight easily with a 13-1 win over Milaca, April 17.
The Flyers scored seven runs in the second inning, but only needed the two they scored in the first to earn the win.
That’s because the strong pitching performances continued. This one was from Mitchell Boros and Chris Reller. Boros earned the win, going four innings and allowing no runs on one hit.
Reller allowed one unearned run in three innings.
Jeremy Klein, Ben Witt and Reller all had 3-RBI days at the plate for the Flyers in the victory.
Little Falls also hosted Mora Thursday, but results were unavailable by press time.
The Flyers will host Becker, Tuesday, in another GRC match-up.
