Post 350 earns road win over Holdingford

Upsala/Swanville (US) Post 350’s legion baseball team earned a win in its season opener at Holdingford, June 11.
US won the District 6 game 7-3, thanks in large part to Austin Johnson’s offensive game.

Johnson had a pair of hits, two RBIs and two runs scored in the game.
Justin Cichon added a pair of hits, an RBI and a run.
Myron Ripplinger earned the win on the hill by pitching the first three innings in shutout fashion, striking out five.
US also played at Browerville, Thursday, but results were unavailable by press time. The same goes for Holdingford, who played at Belgrade-Brooten-Elrosa.
Both teams will play Monday. US plays at St. Augusta, and Holdingford hosts Kimball.

Royalton breezes by LPGE
Long Prairie-Grey Eagle did not have much of a chance against Royalton’s Nathan Psyck in a District 6 game, Monday.
Psyck went the distance on the mound in the 9-1 Royalton win. He struck out 10, allowing just two hits.
Austin Zapzalka had three of nine Royalton hits, and drove in two runs.
Royalton also hosted St. Joe, Thursday, but results were unavailable by press time.
Next for Royalton will be a game at home against Browerville, Monday.
