Paint a Thon helps seven families thanks to donated paint and labor

Paint-a-thon-volunteersThe annual Oasis Central Minnesota Paint a Thon was held Aug. 1. Rose Surma with Central Oasis Minnesota said the event went well. We painted and repaired six houses and had one home that needed some repairs,” she said. This year, Little Falls Hardware Hank donated 35 gallons of paint and Ace Hardware donated 16 gallons of paint. Five of the homes were in Little Falls, one home was in Randall and the other was in Hillman. Financial support also came from the Morrison County Area Foundation, Upsala Lions, Swanville Lions, First United Church, Thrivent Financial and the Morrison County Salvation Army. Paint teams came from Pierz Knights of Columbus and Fellowship Bible Church of Pierz; First Lutheran Church of Little Falls; Swanville Lions; Faith Lutheran Church of Little Falls; Gethsemane Lutheran Church and Community Covenant Church, both of Upsala; and Our Lady of Lourdes Church of Little Falls.
