Cream of the Crop Theater in Randall has closed its doors for the last time.
In an email, owner Beth Selinger cited a lack of available actors as a reason behind the closure.
“As wonderful as the audience responses have been as well as the support of the community, it is just not possible to keep a theater open without actors on stage,” Selinger said.
As a parting statement, Selinger lauded the many other local opportunities for theater, and encouraged actors of all ages and experience levels to continue work on stage.
She added that closing Cream of the Crop was “a difficult decision,” but that the theater would have a last impact on her life.
“I feel so blessed that I had the opportunity to meet so many amazing loving people,” Selinger said. “This has been an amazing venture for me and I will cherish the memories forever.”
