The Little Falls VFW baseball team won three of four games in a pair of doubleheaders recently.
The success began with a sweep of Princeton, June 30.
In game one, the Flyers scored seven times in the third, and added four more in the sixth to beat Princeton 11-1.
Sam Himley allowed only three hits and one run, while striking out seven to earn the win on the mound for Little Falls.
Jake Kapphahn had a pair of triples, while Mason Dempsey was 3-for-4 with a double.
The Flyers also won game two, 7-2 in five innings.
Little Falls once again used a big inning to come out on top, scoring seven runs in the second inning.
Andrew Marod had two hits in that inning alone.
Noah Nordlie went the distance on the mound striking out five, and allowing the two runs on five hits.
Little Falls began its next doubleheader with another win, 10-4, over Maple Lake, Wednesday.
Himley again pitched well, allowing only two earned runs in seven innings.
Kapphahn was 3-for-4 with a double. Landon Johnson and Joe Alholm also had doubles.
The offense was scarce in game two, as the Flyers lost 4-0.
Zach Opatz had the only Little Falls hit.
Thomas Kunkel gave up three earned runs on four hits in the loss.
Little Falls improved to 8-4 overall and 5-1 in league play this season.
