Green Fair Folk Festival promotes healthy living

GFFF-Brother-FrancisHundreds gathered at the Franciscan Sisters of Little Falls’ lawn Wednesday as part of the annual Green Fair Folk Festival. Music blasted from the stage as people walked around the area, seeing what local vendors were selling as a large number of kids’ activities took place across the parking lot. Greg Spofford, who was playing the role of St. Francis of Assisi, above left, although here he was just called Brother Francis, mingled with visitors. One of the people he visited with was Elizabeth King, who took her daughter Kiera and Kiera’s friend Mena Sampson to the fair. Under a tent, Coleen LeBlanc and others painted kids like Alyssa Sadlovsky who was there with her mother Jennifer and siblings. Members of the Little Falls Police Department Jeremy Doroff and Jon West, who gave out gifts to children. According to the Franciscan Sisters of Little Falls’ website, the Green Fair Folk Festival is meant to promote a healthy and sustainable lifestyle.
