Little Falls’ boys and girls basketball teams each earned victories on a trip to Mora, Feb. 9.
The first game of the boys/girls doubleheader was won by the Flyer boys, 79-67.
Little Falls led 32-29, but then exploded for 47 second-half points to earn the win.
Joe Alholm, Dylan Lukasavitz and Michael Hanowski scored 17 points each.
The second half of the doubleheader was won 45-40 by the Flyers girls for their second win of the season.
Little Falls led 27-20 at half, and held on in the second half to earn the win.
Junior Sophia Sowada led the Flyers with 20 points and nine rebounds. Senior Kacy Steinmetz had seven assists and a pair of steals.
Because the Feb. 9 game was a make-up game for the Flyer boys, they met up with Mora again, Feb. 10.
The game, in Little Falls, was won again by the Flyers, 55-45.
A low-scoring first half was led 18-14 by the Flyers, who expanded the lead in the second half.
Senior Austin Weisz paced the Flyers with 19 points and five assists.
Hanowski added 14 points, seven rebounds and four blocks.
The Little Falls girls followed their win at Mora with a 63-46 loss at Fergus Falls, Saturday, Feb. 11.
Sowada led the Flyers in the loss with 19 points and eight rebounds.
Finally, the Little Falls boys team did fall, 66-42, at Albany.
The Huskies led Little Falls by 14 at halftime, and extended the lead to 24 by the time all was said and done.
Hanowski led the Flyers with 15 points and three steals.
The boys (8-13) will travel to play Cathedral, Thursday. The girls (2-21) host Zimmerman, Tuesday.
