Richmond man has felony possession charge dismissed

The felony case in Morrison County District Court against Dean Arnold Gangl, 49, Richmond, was dismissed because the defendant is currently already serving time in prison for another crime according to Assistant Morrison County Attorney Michel Chisum.

Gangl was pulled over in Royalton in October 2016.

The stop resulted in Gangl’s arrest for lack of proof of insurance, driving after suspension, giving a peace officer a false name and possession of a controlled substance.

However, Gangl had two other warrants out for his arrest.

All the charges were dismissed except the charge for giving the officer a false name, which Gangl was convicted for and fined $135.
