Benjamin Wayne Sendy was born in Little Falls, Dec. 14, 1987, to Betty Jayne (Kiser) Wolf and Wayne Herbert Sendy. He graduated from Little Falls Community High School in 2006. He loved art class and drawing. In 2011, Benjamin went on to Central Lakes College in Brainerd studying horticulture and landscape design. He worked in Little Falls doing tree trimming and landscaping. Benjamin moved to Des Moines, Iowa, where until his death, he was employed as a landscaper, tree trimmer and crew foreman at Spruce Hill Tree Service.
Benjamin loved his family. He was a hero to his sisters and brother; Holly, LaRayne and Samuel. He enjoyed fishing, cooking, shopping for clothes, driving his boat, jet ski, and especially his 1977 Caprice Classic. Benjamin’s hobbies were fishing, building things, drawing, Legos and traveling, especially trips to the Black Hills, Badlands and Arizona. Benjamin liked to make everyone feel appreciated. He was known for doing unexpected acts of kindness for friends, relatives and strangers. He was always the life of the party and to know him is to love him.
Benjamin’s family loved him deeply and sincerely, but that love could not protect him from this world that we live in. Everyone who remembers Benjamin is asked to celebrate his life in their own way, like planting a tree or raising a glass of their favorite drink in his memory.
When Benjamin took off for that party in the sky, he left behind his mother, Betty Jayne Kiser (James); and father, Wayne Herbert Sendy (Pauline); sisters, Holly Jayne Sendy and LaRayne Mai Kiser; brother, Samuel James Kiser; step brothers, Eric Connolly and Nathaniel Connolly; and other relatives.
