Flyers compete in windy dual at Brainerd

Little Falls hit the track again on a windy one in Brainerd for a dual against the Warriors, April 7.

No team scores were calculated, but several Flyer athletes came away with strong days.

On the girls side of the action, the Flyers 4×800 relay team finished first with an 11:20.39 time.

Individually, the Flyers were led by Isabelle Pechan in the 100 meter dash (13.81); Kali Schirmers in the 300 hurdles (52.03); Sophia Sowada in the high jump (5-10) and Amari Riley in the discus (120-01).

The Flyer boys did well too, earning top finishes in both the 4×400 and 4×800 relays.

Individually, Drew Peterson won the 800 meters (2:06.78); Isaac Jackson was the top finisher in the 1600 meters (5:07.54) and Brett Zawatzke leapt the furthest in the triple jump (35-02).

Little Falls had a meet at Foley postponed, Monday, due to weather.

The Flyers will be back on the track again at Rocori, Tuesday.
