Pierz moved to 2-0 on the year with a 10-0, five-inning win over Holdingford, Tuesday.

Junior Preston Rocheleau went all five innings, striking out eight and allowing only three hits.

Senior Matt Kummet went 2-for-3 with three RBIs. Fellow senior Matt Tautges scored twice and drove in two runs as well.

The Pioneers won their first game as well, a 1-0 victory over Foley, April 6.

The Falcons threatened, but were unable to score in the top of the first. Pierz did score in the bottom of the first to take the lead for good.

Tautges started the game, and allowed two hits in four innings.

Rocheleau came in and earned a save with three innings of no-hit relief.

Brandon Dickmann drove in Tautges for the game-winning run.

The undefeated Pioneers will host Paynesville, Tuesday, while the Huskers (1-2) travel to play at Belgrade-Brooten-Elrosa.
