The Lord dwells in us and we in him

Today we celebrate the Resurrection of the one who paid it all. Jesus the risen one, who became the sacrifice for our sins and who now is our very life.

Acts 17:28: “For in him we live and move and have our being, as also some of your own poets have said, ‘For we are also his offspring.’” NKJV

Have we ever thought about what it means to be the dwelling place of God? Yes we are his temples.

It is so easy, even as believers, to get caught up in all the worries and the cares and the fears of this life and forget that the one who indwells us, who created it all, has made us to be overcomers and more than conquerors in him.

Our loving God, who has chosen us, has given us a free will, to choose him as our Lord and savior, but then it is up to us to develop a love relationship with him

He who indwells us cannot make that choice he has given that to us. Prov 3:5: “Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and lean not on your own understanding; 6 In all your ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct your paths.” Ps 23,7: “for as a man thinks in his heart so is he.” NKJV

But when we set our heart after him we can (Ps 100:4) “Enter into his gates with thanksgiving, and into his courts with praise. Be thankful to him, and bless his name. 5: For the Lord is good; his mercy is everlasting, and his truth endures to all generations.” NKJV

This means my praise gives me an entrance in his throne room. Wow.

Casting our cares on him and living a life of praise has awesome benefits.

Praise acknowledges his reign in us and establishes our hearts as his very own. It is not just a Sunday service, it is a lifestyle.

Ps 50:23: “Whoever offers praise glorifies me; and to him who orders his conduct aright I will show the salvation of God.” NKJV

By the Word of God, we can come in agreement with what God has said and speak it over contrary situations and circumstances, as his representatives on earth, to see his will be done and as it is in heaven to come forth.

Lord help us to take our thoughts captive and cast our cares at your feet

Our identity as believers comes alive when we celebrate him. and learn to live in his presence.

Praise out of a sincere heart gives God the open door to be enthroned in our praises just as he did with Israel in Ps 22:3: “But you are holy, enthroned in the praises of Israel.” NKJV.

What a way to live.

Don’t make praise a legalistic thing, it is to be from our heart. He is not a religion, he is a person who loves us so much and wants to be loved by us, so that all he purposed for our lives can come forth, in and through him.

If you haven’t yet asked Jesus to save you from your sins and become your Lord, ask him and you’ll find the very purpose you were created for.

For he paid with his life to set you free, to live in his presence all the days of your life and then hereafter. Hallelujah, he is risen.
