Pierz’ softball team split its final four games of the regular season to finish 12-6-1 overall.
The Pioneers began by being swept by Kimball, May 11.
In game one, the Cubs won 4-2.
Brittney Boser went all six innings for the Pioneers, allowing just three hits and two earned runs. She also drove in both Pierz runs.
Pierz was bested 13-1 in six innings in game two of the twin bill.
Emily Burggraff rapped a single and scored the lone run Pierz run in the loss.
Monday, the Pioneers bounced back with a 10-0, five-inning win over Belgrade-Brooten-Elrosa.
The win came thanks to a no-hit bid by Boser.
Jade Porter led the offense with two RBIs.
A two RBI performance from sophomore Ella Kalusche helped the Pioneers to their 12th win of the year, an 8-3 win over Paynesville, Tuesday.
Brianna Meyer also had a double and an RBI.
Holdingford finished the regular season Tuesday as well.
The Huskers won their fifth game of the year, 12-9, over Paynesville.
Howard Lake-Waverly-Winsted swept Holdingford 10-0 and 14-1, May 11.
Holdingford completed the season at 5-14.
The Section 6AA quarterfinals began, Thursday, but results were unavailable by press time.
The section semifinals will be at Waite Park, Tuesday.
