Patricia Ann Bourdon

Patricia Ann Bourdon passed away June 26, 2017, at Hospice of the Valley,
Surprise, Ariz., at age 88. Born Aug 14, 1928, to Raymond and Demerese(Patnode) Linnihan, who lived in Red Lake Falls.
She attended St. Joseph Parochial School and graduated from Lafayette
High School in 1946. She attended St. Benedicts College and graduated from St. Catherine College with a teaching degree in 1948. She taught first
grade for one year at Cedarcrest Elementary in Bloomington.
She was a gifted musician playing first chair trombone in high school and 12 years of piano. She briefly considered a career as a professional pianist,
but, chose family life where she was a professional wife and mother. She married Lyle Bourdon, her high school sweetheart, after 7 years of
courtship, on Aug. 14, 1950. Their four sons were born in Little Falls: Gregory (Patty), Jay (Susan), Tim (Alicia), Bruce (Tammie). She was able to cope with the loss of her sons, Jay and Tim only because of the love and
support of family, friends and time and her deep and abiding faith.
She moved from her home of 21 years in Little Falls to Minneapolis
(3 years); to Duluth, (11 years); to Plymouth, MN (9 years); to Sun
City West, Ariz., (23 years. Her family was her life, enjoying time with them at
their cabin on Crow Wing Lake and at home in Arizona.
She is preceded in death by Terrance Linnihan, brother; son Jay (Jill
Schierholz, daughter; her daughter, Ayva, sons, Jay and Micah); Timothy (Samantha, daughter, sons Cameron, Asher and Lane); and brother-in-law, W. J. Dowswell.
Survived by husband Lyle; son, Greg (Robert and David); son
Btuce, (Luke, Alyssa, Nick, Danika); sister, Joyce Dowswell; sister-in -Law,
Beverly Moye and many wonderful friends that she attracted wherever she lived.
A memorial service will be held at the Camp Ripley Veterans Cemetery, north of Little Falls, at 2:00 p.m., Friday , July 21, 2017.
