Little Falls Legion falls despite 17 hits

Little Falls Legion’s offense was strong, pounding out 17 hits, but the Flyers fell 11-10 to Sauk Rapids for their second loss of the season,

The back-and-forth affair ended at Flyer Field with Little Falls on the short end despite the offensive out put.

AJ Jenks clubbed a home run and drove in two runs in the loss. Jake Kapphahn was 3-for-4 with a run and an RBI.

Center fielder Austin Weisz had a pair of hits, a pair of runs and a pair of RBIs in the losing effort.

Shane Slettom and Hunter Swanson each ripped three hits in the loss.

The Flyers dropped to 8-2 overall on the Legion season.

The regular season finale was at Becker, Thursday, but results were unavailable by press time.

The playoffs start Sunday, July 16.
