Enjoy a ‘night out’ on the streets with food and fun in LF, Tuesday

Falls Festival on Foot teams up with National Night Out

National Night Out and Falls Festival on Foot are partnering to open the streets for a couple of hours Tuesday, from 5 p.m. – 7:30 p.m. First Street Southeast between Second and Fifth avenues in Little Falls will be closed to motor traffic to allow people to experience all the great activities offered by two annual events.

A free community meal will be served by the Salvation Army, free bicycle surreys, sponsored by Mid-Minnesota Federal Credit Union, will be available to ride up and down the streets, a bike rodeo, child’s play area and hula hoop contests for kids. Folks can also enjoy demonstrations by North Air Care helicopter, Morrison County K-9 unit, Little Falls Fire and Rescue safety demonstration, specialty cardio and Zumba by Curves of Little Falls, Red Door Yoga+ and Touright Bicycle Shop BMX and strider races.

Other events include: live music provided by local band “Disaster Area” and a Critter Crawl. The Critter Crawl, hosted by the Morrison County Humane Society and Live Better Live Longer, is a short walking loop for dogs (and other friendly pets) and their owners which starts at the Maple Island Park shelter at 6:00 p.m.
