Thomas Salphordora Pryor III, 34, Long Prairie, is facing a felony third degree drug possession charge in Morrison County District Court.
The charge stems from a July 24 incident, when Pryor was stopped for not properly using his turn signal and the officer discovered Pryor’s license was revoked.
The officer allegedly smelled marijuana in the vehicle, which Pryor allegedly denied before saying there was some in a bag in the backseat.
The officer looked through the bag and allegedly found marijuana and a white crystal-like substance, a straw and a digital scale.
Pryor was then placed under arrest.
A further search of the vehicle led to officers allegedly finding a glass pipe and more of the crystalline substance.
The substance allegedly field tested positive as methamphetamine and weighed 18.1 grams.
If convicted, Pryor faces up to 20 years in prison and/or a $250,000 fine.
