Brian M. Wacker, 61- year-old resident of Pierz, passed away Wednesday, Aug. 9, 2017, at the University of Minnesota Medical Center in Minneapolis. Mass of Christian Burial will be at 11 a.m. on Monday, Aug. 14 at St. Rita’s Catholic Church in Hillman, with Fr. Jerry Schik officiating. A visitation will be held from 4 p.m.- 8 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 13 at the Emblom Brenny Funeral Service in Pierz and also one hour prior to the service at the church. A Christian Mothers Rosary will be prayed at 4:30 p.m. and Parish Prayers at 7:30 p.m., both Sunday evening at the funeral home. Burial will be in the parish cemetery.
Brian was born on Aug. 12, 1955, in Little Falls, to Mathew and Marie Wacker. He was united in marriage to Carol Hayes, Aug. 6, 1993 in Little Falls. Brian worked at Westman Silo Company, Tri-City Paving, Hoffman Gravel and Excavating, and the Morrison County Department of Public Works. He enjoyed camping, fishing, hunting, woodworking, and drawing. He absolutely loved watching the Pierz High School Wrestling Team. Brian lit up the room with his smile and amazing sense of humor, he will be remembered for his time well spent with family and friends.
Brian is survived by his wife, Carol; children, Billie Jo (Tim) McGahey, Rick (Laura) Wacker, Brandon Wacker and Kayla Wacker; brothers, Roman Wacker, James (Brenda) Wacker, Kenneth Wacker and Dennis (Patty) Wacker; sisters, Rose Hoffman, Bernice (Al Pederson) Banick, Delores (Richard) Meyer and Joann (Duane) Boser; six grandchildren; sister-in-law, Elvira Wacker; and father-in-law, Marvin Hayes.
He was preceded in death by his parents; sister, Alice Stauffeneker; brothers, Leonard Wacker and, Joseph Wacker; brothers-in- law, Duane Hoffman, Richard Stauffeneker and Jerald Banick; sister-in-law, MaryLou Wacker; and mother-in-law, Jane Hayes.
