Donna was the seventh child born to Truman and Caroline (Becker) Scholl. From the ages of 4 to 14, Donna was institutionalized; during those years she was most happy when she could come home and be with her family. Donna was able to attend classes at Little Falls High School where she met the love of her life, Chuck. At age 23, she began working full time at the DAC, which later became EEI. Donna held many jobs there, and was a driven worker. A year after her mother’s passing Donna moved to the Oleson Foster Family for 10 years. She participated in equestrian therapy, taking great pride and ownership in Star, “her” horse. In 2008, a new group home called United Friends opened in Pierz and Donna was its first resident. This transition allowed her to be closer to her family and to age in place. Donna retired in 2014. Throughout her life Donna enjoyed being with people, especially those she deemed extra special. She loved photography, reading, parties, dancing and music—especially Donny Osmond, and watching Little House shows. Donna was even able to meet Melissa Gilbert as well as Donny and Marie Osmond—true highlights for such a faithful fan.
Donna is survived by her siblings and their spouses, Dale and Patty (Kloss) Scholl of Buckman, Jim and Linda (Putikka) Scholl of Buckman, Arlene (Scholl) Spiczka of Pierz, Janel (Scholl) and Harry Jansen of Pierz, Bill and Barb (Kasper) Scholl of Rosemount, Mary (Scholl) and Don Tschida of Pierz, Dan and Cindy (Przybilla) Scholl of Buckman, Dennis and Geri Ann (Stellmach) Scholl of Foley, Karla (Scholl) and Galen Stumpf of Pierz, Jackie Scholl and Kevin Johnson of Sauk Rapids, brother-in-law, Hank Terhaar (Sandy) of Foreston; 34 nieces and nephews; and many grand-nieces and nephews.
Donna was preceded in death by her mother, Caroline (1996); niece, Amy Jansen (1999); father, Truman (2000); sister, Judy Terhaar (2013; boyfriend, Chuck Schneider (2016); great-grandnephew, Lincoln Fritz (2017); and brother-in-law Jim Spiczka (2017).
