The Melrose Dutchmen ended the Little Falls volleyball season tonight in a 3-0 sweep. Little Falls fell by scores of 25-12, 25-19 and 25-15. Senior Kendra Pohlman led the Flyers with five kills and four assists unofficially. The Flyers’ final record after the playoff loss to top-seeded Melrose is 11-19.

After blowout wins tonight by both teams, the Pierz Pioneers and Holdingford Huskers both advanced on to their respective section championships. Both USA and Royalton were victorious tonight, which will set up a rematch next Friday at the Fargodome. The Patriots topped fifth-seeded New York Mills 34-6 in Swanville. Royalton downed the six seed Pine River-Backus 28-8 to advance. In the first match up USA won 35-0.
