Advent Day of Reflection
December 3, 2016 @ 9:30 am - 3:00 pm
The Franciscan Sisters of Little Falls invite the public to attend an Advent Day of Reflection entitled, Advent: A Celebration of Hope in God’s Cosmic Promise, to be held on Saturday, December 3, 9:30 a.m. – 3 p.m., in St. Francis Hall at St. Francis Convent, Little Falls. Participants will examine the virtue of hope and its message for our dark times, reflect on the meaning of, “the Word became flesh and dwelt among us,” and examine how hope motivates continual conversion, creating an ever greater place for God’s Spirit in our daily life. Time for personal reflection and small group sharing will also be part of the day.
Presenter, Sister Elise Saggau, OSF, has many years of experience in education and Franciscan formation. She was editor of The Cord, an international Franciscan spiritual review and also served as assistant director of publications at the Franciscan Institute, St. Bonaventure, New York. Sister Elise is currently writing the history of the Franciscan Sisters of Little Falls and, in addition, gives talks, especially on Franciscan spirituality.
Freewill donations will be gratefully accepted as there is no cost to attend. Lunch is included. For more information, or to register by November 28, contact the Franciscan Life Center at (320)632-0668 or email: [email protected]; www.fslf.org.
