The Royalton boys and girls teams each finished near the top of the pack at the John Reimer Invite in Pillager, Thursday, with the girls squad placing third and the boys earning fourth.
Senior Megan Wiener once again turned in a dominating performance to lead the girls team.
Wiener swept her four events, winning the 100-meter dash in 13.66 seconds, the 200 (27.65), long jump (16-feet, 4-inches) and the triple jump (32-feet, 5-inches).
Freshman Abby Duevel was a narrow second in the 400 (1:03.63) and added a fourth-place finish in the 200 (28.75) and took fifth in the 100 (14.42).
Placing fourth for the Royals were sophomore Ciara Kowalczyk in the 3,200 (15:01.8), the 4×400 relay team (4:57.56) and the 4×800 relay team (12:21).
Also earning points were senior Bridget Tschida in fifth in the shot put (27-feet, 0.5-inches), sophomore LuLu Martinez in fifth in the 1,600 (6:22.43) and freshman Jenna Trutwin in sixth in the 3,200 (15:36.9).
Senior Daniel Borash captured first in the 3,200 (9:49.6) and second in the 1,600 (4:52.7) to help lead the boys team.
Earning runner-up finishes were sophomore Tony Gadacz in discus (116-feet), freshman Zach Carlson in the 3,200 (10:46.1) and the 4×800 relay team (9:38.7).
Adding top-six finishes were freshman Tremayne Collins in third in the 1,600 (5:01.2), the third-place 4×400 relay team (4:06.7), eighth grader Ben Borash in fourth in the 3,200 (11:49.2), junior Stephen Strusz in fifth in the 1,600 (5:23.9) and seventh grader David Wimer in sixth in the high jump (5-feet).
Royalton competes at Ogilvie, Tuesday.
