Sartell man charged with third degree burglary

Jerry Carl Wolf, 36, Sartell, was charged April 15, with one felony count of third degree burglary in the Morrison County District Court.

The Morrison County Sheriff’s Office received a report Nov. 25, 2012, that a storage unit had been broken into by someone using a crow bar. A number of items were reported stolen, including audio speakers, tools and a 2009 Honda Model 3000 generator, worth approximately $1,900.

The Sheriff’s Office received a call from the Benton County Sheriff’s Office Jan. 3, reporting Wolf had been interviewed as a suspect in a number of burglaries.

During the interview, Wolf allegedly admitted to both stealing the generator from a storage unit in Morrison County and selling it to a business in Waite Park.

The business was contacted and an employee confirmed Wolf sold it a generator. The generator was picked up and the victim confirmed it was the generator that was in his storage shed.

If arrested and convicted, Wolf faces a maximum penalty of five years in prison and/or a $10,000 fine.
